Rare Character The Exceptional Series Malt Whiskey Single Barrel is a single cask of American malt whiskey from Rare Character, the independent bottler founded in 2021 by Pablo Moix and Peter Nevenglosky that has become the most collected name in sourced American whiskey. The Exceptional Series is where Rare Character releases its most unusual finds, and this barrel is a malt whiskey sourced from Indiana and Kentucky stocks, bottled uncut and unfiltered at 120.06 proof.Malt whiskey aged in new American oak is a rare style, sitting between Scotch single malt and bourbon, with the honeyed, cereal character of malted barley wrapped in the caramel and vanilla of charred oak. At 120 proof from a single barrel it is intense, and Moix, a veteran bartender known for his palate, selects barrels for personality rather than a house style. Each Rare Character single barrel gets custom label artwork and a colored wax top keyed to the flavor profile, and once the barrel is bottled that whiskey will never exist again. A must for collectors of the Exceptional Series.Buy Rare Character The Exceptional Series Malt Whiskey Single Barrel online with fast shipping right to your door.
