Tennessee Legend Canebrake Bourbon Whiskey is the straight bourbon from Tennessee Legend Distillery in Sevierville, Tennessee, the Smoky Mountain distillery better known for its flavored moonshines and whiskeys. Canebrake is the serious side of the lineup: an unflavored bourbon aged in new charred oak and bottled for sipping.Expect the classic bourbon profile of caramel, vanilla and toasted oak from the barrel, with corn sweetness and a touch of baking spice on the finish. It works neat or with a splash of water, and it holds up well in an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan where the oak and sweetness can carry the drink. This 750ml bottle is a solid pick for anyone exploring Tennessee-made bourbon beyond the big names.
