Other Products ｜Oliver Nelson & Larry Coryell: Flight For Freedom / The Great Escape - Omakase Edits (Japan Import) Vinyl 7"

"A new DJ unit formed by DJ KENTA and DJ SOULJAH, performing in a B2B (Back to Back) style, OMAKASE delivers the fourth installment of their DJ-focused edit series released on 7-inch, known for its outstanding floor-ready selections under the title 'OMAKASE 3-Minute Cooking'. This edition features selections and edits drawn from the rich catalog of jazz, soul, and funk grooves released by the legendary label FLYING DUTCHMAN. From Oliver Nelson’s final recording, the striking album 'Skull Session', famous for its skull-inspired cover artwork, comes the cosmic mellow funk gem 'Flight for Freedom', also picked up by Dev Large. Great news for DJs, as the notoriously tricky drum break has been skillfully reworked into a DJ-friendly edit. On the B-side, Larry Coryell’s 'The Great Escape', famously used for the intro of a popular track by Jurassic 5, receives its first-ever 7-inch release, with the percussive and most flavorful sections emphasized for maximum impact." - Octave
