Monkey 47 Distiller's Cut 2022 is the annual limited edition from Black Forest Distillers in Germany, in which the 47 botanicals of Monkey 47 Schwarzwald Dry Gin are joined by a single "Species Rara," a rare 48th ingredient. For 2022 it was woodruff (Galium odoratum), the sweet-scented forest herb the Black Forest calls Waldmeister, foraged from the woods around the distillery from mid-April. It is bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof) in a 375ml bottle. The distillery describes a spicy, elegant dry gin with delicate, almost ethereal top notes of cinnamon and vanilla against the extraordinary density and complexity of the base Monkey 47, which The Gin Is In rates 4.5 out of 5 for its mentholated juniper, lavender, lemon verbena and hibiscus. Distiller's Cut is released once a year and never repeated, so this is a collector's bottle: sip it neat, or pour it over ice with a splash of tonic and let the woodruff show.Buy Monkey 47 Distiller's Cut Gin 2022 online with fast shipping right to your door.
